This afternoon, Mikela and I took on the Temescal Canyon hike. I’d never done it before, and was a little nervous, because this is not Runyon. This is actual hiking. Some guys we passed at one point mentioned seeing a snake, which I’m hoping was actually just to scare us.
The views at the “not quite the top,” were gorgeous. But, the real beauty was at the very top of the canyon.
I can’t believe it took me so long to get around to doing this hike! It was tough, a lot harder than Runyon, but it was so beautiful. Every moment along the trail was beautiful. So many trees, flowers, and even a waterfall. Getting out to the Palisades is definitely a trek, and the traffic on the way home was so rough, because we were both hungry, but wow. The ocean view. Amazing. Days like today make me so happy I live in Southern California.
Now, Travis and I are grilling steak, corn and baking potatoes for dinner. So hungry! How was your Saturday?
