This morning, I decided to make one of my Trader Joe’s Steel Cut oatmeals from the freezer. Â It always seems to keep me full longer than just cold cereal. Â So, this morning, it was oatmeal, chocolate chips, almond slivers and a small banana.
Tasty, a little crunchy and definitely kept me feeling full longer than yesterday’s cold cereal and banana. Â I wasn’t hungry for my morning snack of string cheese until around 11:30am
I’ve got some leftover Chicken Stir-Fry from dinner last night and I brought a frozen Trader Joe’s brown rice to add to that, but here’s a picture of what dinner looked like last night.
Travis claims he didn’t follow any recipe but I’m pretty sure he marinated the chicken in some soy sauce and corn starch. Cooked the chicken in the skillet with some peanut oil. Then sautéed the veggies (we used bean sprouts, snow peas, broccoli,  and carrots) in some peanut oil, adding in some oyster sauce and teriyaki sauce toward the end.  We also steamed the last of our white rice in our rice cooker and topped the veggie and chicken mixture with some sesame seeds.  It was really tasty, great flavors without being overpowering.  Not too salty, or too much sauce.  I’m excited to have the leftovers today!
Tonight is TND, and we’re making our “Super Quick and Easy Lasagna.”  It’s probably technically “cheating,” since we use no boil noodles and jarred sauce to make it, but it’s delicious, and easy, and inexpensive.
After my run last night, my knees are quite sore today. Â I don’t think I stretched enough. Â I’ll be rushing home tonight to squeeze in a yoga video via our OnDemand. Â I’ve been looking around the internet for info on beginner yoga to help me get started since I’m not attending actual classes (which is hard for me. I really like the real time form corrections that come with being in a class.)
Question: Â What are your favorite meals to prepare?

Looks like you and I eat a little similarly!
For breakfast I eat raw oats w/ 1 tbsp ground flax, 1 tbsp choc. Spirutein (we can’t forget the chocolate, right), and a handful of berries (blue or rasp).
For snacks at work I eat low-fat string cheese and a raw veggie or raw berries (straw)
The only difference is I don’t like peapods much
But, I’m going to try your kinda’ oatmeal somtime
I’ve never tried raw oats before, do you mix in any liquid with them or just eat them dry?
Once I use up the last of my more “instant” oatmeal I’m going to start buying the raw oats to make stuff overnight, but I’ve found the Trader Joe’s frozen individual steel cut oatmeals are so quick and easy to deal with in the morning.
No cook noodles! Tell me about these and where to find them IMMEDIATELY. I must have them.
Trader Joe’s has them, and I’ve also seen them in Ralph’s (or Kroger) in the pasta aisle

A: I pour 1/2 cup Vanilla Rice Milk into dry raw oats
