Happy Labor Day to my fellow Americans
The kittehs and I have been relaxing a bit today.
Today I had to be somewhat productive, since we decided to nap and BBQ yesterday evening. I dropped Travis off at LAX this morning for his flight back to Louisiana, he’ll be gone another two weeks. Then I came home and went back to sleep until a little after 10am. I was still so tired after the race yesterday, and it felt nice to just lay in bed for a while, not moving.
When I finally got up, I gathered up my laundry and put together a grocery list, and made some Kodiak pancakes.
After seeing them on the plates of so many bloggers I love to follow, I decided I had to try them for myself. I was nervous, “healthy” pancakes?
I threw in some chocolate chips because, why not! It’s a holiday! I burned the first one a bit, but they were tasty
As you can see, I have mad pancake skillz. Or, not.
Little bit of butter and some lite syrup (which must have belonged to our former roommate as I don’t think I’ve ever purchased lite syrup. However, it was there, in the pantry so I used it. =D I’m actually not a huge fan of syrup to begin with. I am more than happy with just some butter on my pancakes and waffles, but every now and then some sweet syrup is good.
I decided to get laundry out of the way first, I really hate doing laundry, and putting it away, so I made a bargin with myself. If I went and did my laundry, I would treat myself to a much needed mani/pedi while my clothes were in the dryer. So, I put my clothes in the dryer, and went across the street to get a pedicure, and then decided to go for it and get the manicure as well.
I came back and discovered that I had forgotten to hit START on the dryer. Oops! Thankfully, the nice man who works at the laundromat noticed and hit start for me. I then folded my laundry at the laundromat, and came home to turn around and head to the grocery store. Managed to spend only $43 (and I only deviated slightly from my list.) which will give me a little over a week’s dinners and lunches.
Now, as promised yesterday, I will share with you my Half Marathon playlist =D
I figured it would take me 3 and a half hours so I made sure my playlist was at least that long.
